It’s not so long ao that Manly was a pub town. Well, Hemingway’s is one of the fine joints leading the small bar revolution in this beach side-suburb with fun cocktails and party food. You can grab yourself a longneck of Coopers and if your feeling extra macho snack on house made pork scratchings and chip butties with pickled oinions. For the more ladylike there’s plenty on offer too: sip on Hemingway’s Cup – a dainty wee beverage served in a tea cup that combines Hendrick’s Gin with rose and apple tea, cucumber and a delicately spiced sugar syrup. The tunes are tend toward retro funk and rock classics – think Curtis Mayfield and Jimi Hendrix – creating a vibe of sophisticated cool. Spoiler alert; you can check our this bar on SBT’s Hidden Bar Tour on Wednesday, November 30.
